Songs Of The Inspired Soul shares the backstory of age old Hassidic melodies which were taught by the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson, of righteous memory. A multimedia production shares six of the Niggunim (Hassidic melodies) played by a string quartet, each preceded by short film telling the story of how they were taught in the wee hours of Simchas Torah night during the early 1950's, and the stories taught together with them. Written as if a grandfather is sharing his memories with his grandson, this program also brings together film and the classical music of a string quartet to create a space where past and present join and uplift the soul.
